Empowering single parent families back into society.
Since its inception, Savortex passionately supports several different charities, such as Water Aid, Human Appeal and Macmillan Cancer Research, to name a few. In 2021, In memory of our founders late sister, Momtaj Begum, whom was a passionate and active philanthropist, Syed Ahmed, formed The Momtaj Foundation.
The unique grassroots charity empowers single-parent families, mainly female-led, in third-world countries who have experienced unfortunate circumstances to become active members of society and provide essentials for their families. The charity raises donations from professional individuals and corporate sponsorships and has a network of local partners who distribute food, health, education, and raining in home economics. Its purpose is to empower leaders by creating the right environment and mindset so they can learn new skills to self-sustain their families and thrive.
In a short period, the grassroots charity has accessed local government funding, rehoused multiple families, reconstructed new homes, and planted water wells, impacting hundreds of lives. Its longer-term vision is to provide IT (information technology) to the villages it supports so that these communities can access the world wide web and online education, providing a platform for communities to transform.
